Assisted Areas

Tier 2 Assisted Area Sites

Small and Mediums sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Tier 2 areas can access up to 35% grant support. Companies in Tier 3 areas can access up to 15% support.
Grant Support

Staffordshire is classified as an assisted area. This means that grant support is available for eligible projects and companies. The levels of support vary within the county, with greater levels of intervention within “tier 2” areas, around Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and parts of South Staffordshire. Support for the rest of the county is available for Small and Medium sized enterprises.

Support for companies that are looking to invest within capital projects is available through the Selective Finance for Investment Scheme.

Alternative Funding

Alternative Funding, in the form of unsecured lending, is available within North Staffordshire. This is designed to complement more traditional forms of raising capital.
